Career teacher settles religious accommodation case with school board with Franklin Law’s help

When a career teacher sought religious accommodation at work at his school and the school board refused his requests, he turned to Franklin Law for help in arguing his case at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO).  A key issue in his case was whether or not the school board was obligated to or even could accommodate the teacher given the nature of the requirements that he claimed were integral to his ability to worship in an authentic manner.  After a stand off that lasted almost two years, the teacher – with Ron Franklin as his lawyer – was able to settle his dispute with the board in a manner satisfactory to all parties involved.  For more information about the services that Franklin Law that provides to employees and other workers, please visit our website at www.franklinlaw.ca or contact us about booking a consultation at 416-572-8525, ext. 1 or consultation@franklinlaw.ca.
