In addition to exploring basic human rights concepts such as discrimination, harassment, accommodation, and reprisal under Ontario’s Human Rights Code, Franklin Law’s “The Human Rights Workshop for Unionized Employees” provides unionized employees with information that will help them to better understand important differences between filing human rights-related Applications before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) and pursuing human rights-related Grievances before arbitrators in the grievance arbitration process. Through this unique 2-hour course, unionized employees and union representatives will receive legal information that will better position them to figure out what options might serve their interests best in a given situation. This Course is essential for unionized employees who are considering whether or not to file human rights Applications at the HRTO, unionized employees who are considering whether or not to ask their Union to file human rights-related Grievances on their behalf, and Union Representatives who want to provide their members with information about their legal options with a greater degree of confidence.
Courses are held at Fresh Paint Studio and Cafe and in other areas across the Greater Toronto Area. Continental breakfast is served.
