Michelle Govindaraj recently joined Franklin Law as a Paralegal Intern while completing her Graduate Certificate Program in Paralegal Studies at Humber College. She bridges an extensive banking background with a focus on the law, motivated by a desire to help employees find their voice and improve their access to justice.
With over 15 years in the Canadian financial services sector including retail personal and business banking, mortgages, sales, and underwriting, Michelle brings her perspective to Franklin Law. Her experience using Net Promoter Score (NPS) surveys and data science to lead client experience initiatives, combined with years of direct interaction with clients in high-pressure environments, has given her a deep understanding of the challenges involved in meeting demanding targets while navigating complex regulatory conditions.
As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with an MBA, Michelle has implemented strategic projects designed to make workplace systems fairer. She leverages her Certified Risk Management (CRM) expertise and strategic system operations to identify where employers may overlook regulations or legal obligations. Michelle is excited to intern under Senior Lawyer Ron Franklin and the team at Franklin Law, where she is learning to integrate her professional experience to hold employers accountable, promote social justice.
