Public service employee settles at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario

Public service employee settles at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario

When an employee working for the Public Service was fired for cause, she sought out the services of a popular law firm.  When that firm failed to deliver she came to Franklin Law.  She was accused of several counts of misconduct.  She believed that other employees who did not share her personal characteristics had also engaged in similar misconduct and that the Public Service had violated the Human Rights Code by treating her differently and more severely (i.e., discriminated against him) than them.  With Ron Franklin’s  help, she pursued her complaint at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and was able to secure a settlement that allowed her to move forward with her life with her sense of dignity and self-esteem intact.
