Saurabh Sharma

Saurabh is a lawyer at Franklin Law. His experiences as a worker have greatly influenced his current legal practice, which focuses on consulting with and representing employees and other workers in employment law, labour law, and human rights law cases.

Saurabh is a graduate of the prestigious National Law University, Jodhpur, India, and an alumnus of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Law Practice Program. While studying for his Canadian legal degree equivalency and Ontario bar exams, Saurabh organized with a gig workers’ union in the Greater Toronto Area. As an organizer and worker, Saurabh was a witness before the Ontario Legislative Assembly’s Standing Committee on Social Policy regarding Bill 88 – Digital Platform Workers’ Rights Act, 2022. Before joining Franklin Law, he worked as a sole practitioner and supported several small business contractors in the trades in successfully claiming wages and other payments from general contractors and owners.

In addition to his legal work, Saurabh is actively involved in his community and serves as a volunteer with several workers’ rights organizations. His dedication to social justice and workers’ rights makes him a powerful advocate for his clients, and he is committed to using his legal skills to effect positive change.
